The theme for this year's competition is "People on the Walks".

Who can enter?
The competition is open to photographers in two categories:
- Children under 16 years of age. The photo and any digital enhancement must be the child's own work.
- Anyone over 16 years of age.
Terms and Conditions
Photos must be taken on one of the walks on the Blackall Range featuring at least one person in the photo.
People in each photograph need to sign a Consent and Release form. → Download here
Finalists' photos will be displayed, with a description of the location to encourage people to discover the walk for themselves.
- Judges will look for creativity, originality and good composition.
- Entries can be in landscape or portrait format, colour or black and white.
- Each entry must feature at least one person on a Blackall Range walk.
- Permission must be obtained from anyone appearing in the photograph.
- A signed release form for each person in the photograph will be required to have a valid entry.
- Digital Enhancement is allowed, but must be minimal - e.g. levels, exposure and tonal adjustment. Excessive enhancement is not permitted.
- Winning entries from other competitions are not accepted.
- Up to 4 entries per person.
- Send images as JPG files less than 2 MB (max pixles for height and width = 3000) clearly labelled with the photographers name followed by the location e.g. brown_j_kondalilla_falls.jpg
- If you are entering the children's category, please put CH at the beginning e.g. ch_brown_j_kondalilla_falls.jpg
- Winning entrants will be asked to provide a file with a resolution that can be printed at a mimimum of 300 dpi. (approximately 5000 pixles for width or height)
- By agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of this entry application winners permit their photos to be used for promoting the Hinterland Tourism Sunshine Coast Walks Festival at no charge.
- Entries may be displayed on the Hinterland Tourism Sunshine Coast website, fully accredited with the photographer's name.
- Winning entries will be displayed at Flaxton Gardens and prizes awarded to the winners on Friday 19th August 2011 at 6pm.
- No correspondence will be entered into - the judge's decision is final.
